We root for the universal heartbeat of music.
KIVUROOTS RECORDS (formerly Brodahood) is an independent record label and music production house connecting Africa, the Caribbean and the world through music, riddims and culture.
based in switzerland.
Founded by Aimé Bugingo (aka Amigo Gwan), we bring together artists, cultures and stories through Riddim, Vybes and Music.
Together with acclaimed musicians from around the globe, we create productions that honour their origins while speaking a universal musical language.
Every riddim, every collaboration and every release grows from the same foundation: authenticity, cultural exchange and the belief that music can uplift the peoples across borders.

KIVUROOTS - OUR STORY
KIVUROOTS is named after Lake Kivu, in the heart of Africa and the birthplace of our producer (Amigo Gwan).
From the sacred waters of Lake Kivu to the mighty River Nile, KIVUROOTS carries the vibration of the Motherland. A journey of roots, culture, unity and sounds. Linking Africa and the diaspora through conscious music and livity.
LEARN MOREâ–º
"The renaming of the label to KIVUROOTS marks a conscious return to my origins. After more than two decades abroad, the name reflects my reconnection with where the journey began. It represents a stronger identity and a renewed foundation for the next chapter of our label." – Amigo Gwan
